Welcome to the Australian Draught Horse web site.
I am a member of the Australian Draught Horse Stud Book Society and this is not an official site.
I have set this site up to let people know about the ADHSBS and what the members do with their horses.
The Australiuan Draught Horse has evolved over the years as a result of cross-breeding the four recognised breeds of draught horses (in Australia ), and in many cases this is still being carried out today to produce heavy working horses. As a result, the Australian Draught Horse carries characteristics of these four breeds which are:- Clydesdale,Shire, Percheron and Suffolk Punch.
